This 'Margarita' cultivar was selected by Don Jacobs of Eco Gardens in Decatur, Georgia for its slightly larger, more prominent flowers. He named it after his wife. It is a Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Gold Medal winner. Some are offered at both many conventional nurseries and native plant nurseries in the South and Mid-Atlantic, plus some Zone 6 in the Northeast and southern Midwest. I have not seen either the straight species or any cultivar of Carolina Jessamine much in homeowner landscapes; mostly at arboretums and some estates, and professionally designed landscapes in southeast Pennsylvania.
