    Cuphea needs regular water in the heat of summer, at least once a week if in the ground, more often if in containers.
    It can be brought indoors for winter in zones 9a and below.

    If you plant it in the ground, you will need to provide extra water until the root system establishes. Prune back after flowering season is over. This will give it a tidier appearance.
