Starfish was introduced to the trade decades ago but had been lost for a long time. Dan from Brushwood Nursery had visited the Polly Hill Arboretum where the staff showed him the original Starfish and he was allowed to take a few cuttings. He has since propagated it and it's now available once again. It's a sturdy and long lived plant with beautiful, silky 8" flowers.

There is also a clematis Starfish sold in the UK and Germany that is a light lavender blue.
