    Reportedly a vendor was selling the yellow with bold eyed 'Helicon' under the name "Bonanza" and this has now became the most commonly found "Bonanza".
    It does not match the description of Lee Gates' Bonanza "red orange self with green throat",
    or the Bonanza by Ferrick from 1954 "orange yellow self.

    This older variety is planted in most of the parking lot strips around our town. Poor soil and never receive watering yet they thrive and flower like crazy each year with no problems.
