Newer Daylilies are not based on high-punched crossings wild forms.

This variety of Tamberg (breeder of Berlin) contains genes of diploid convertierten Altissima (Stout, AB, Herbertia, vol.9, 1943, p.103) and Citrina(Baroni, E., Nuovo Giornale Botanico Italiano, vol.II:4, 1897, p.303-307, t.11). It is thus the basis for high outcross and Hemerocallis.
