HVH: "'Carrot Cake' blooms with a large, unusual 7-9" single in a golden orangy brown with hints of red that increase in cooler weather, and a large white eye and rays like the white icing on a real carrot cake. 'Carrot Cake' is the child of the orange hibiscus 'Saffron' and the red and brown hibiscus 'Cranberry Muffin.' The bush is upright, medium-sized, lush and pretty. Released from HVH in 2011."
