HVH: "'Aztec Treasure' blooms with a large 6-8" double or cup-and-saucer in variations of gold, bronze or yellow, depending on weather and sun conditions. This variety is an excellent bloomer, opening multiple flowers per day during ideal conditions, and the flowers last for 2-3 days. The unique colors have to be seen in person to appreciate how rich and vibrant they are. The parents of 'Aztec Treasure' are 'Montserrat' and the Australian variety 'Jayella.' Charles Black, the hybridizer of HVH cultivars, considers this one of his very best new varieties, and he is notoriously critical of his new cultivars. Released from HVH in 2008."
