HVH: "Vin Extraordinaire is a very special new seedling under testing at HVH, and not yet released for sale. It has proven difficult to propagate and will be released for sale in very limited numbers sometime in the next two years. Vin Extraordinaire's 5-6" flower is a unique combination of a dark, velvety burgundy ringed by a deep, indigo blue - both rare colors in the hibiscus world. It is a slow bloomer, and the blooms last only one day, but they take your breath away like no other hibiscus - as elusive and beautiful as a rare and perfect wine.

The bush stays small, and grows in an upright, slender growth pattern. Vin Extraordinaire is the child of Midnight Blue and The Color Purple. Not recommended for beginners, Vin Extraordinaire will be released from HVH in 2009."
