HVH: "'Hot-Buttered Rum' blooms with 6-7" single flowers in golden brown with a large, vivid fire-engine red eye and golden spots that increase in summer heat. 'Hot-Buttered Rum' is the offspring of two well-known brown hibiscus hybrids, 'Crème de Cacao' and 'Muffin Man.'

The bush is medium-sized and upright. Released from HVH in 2011."
