    Description from Sidney's Conger's 1952 catalog of Louisiana Iris, p.4:
    CADDO. (Trichel, 1950). H. M., A. I. S., 1950, M. S. D. Award 1950. This award-winning iris deserves the attention. The brilliant red-bronze or deep burgundy coloring of the well-formed flowers is contrasted by large, circular signal patches of bright gold. The sepals are orbicular and reflex gracefully. Hardy in New England and increases rapidly. 30" to 36". $7.50.
