A sport of Acer palmatum 'Geisha', discovered and introduced by the Flora Wonder(tm) Collection of Buchholz Nursery.
6' tall x 3' wide in 10 years, a more vigorous grower than A. 'Geisha'.
My tree is only about 3 feet tall at this time, but the bark has an interesting brown/green color, and it looks very nice against the bright colored fall leaves.
It seems to be the last maple in my yard to lose its leaves. They hold on for a long time after the bright fall color appears.
All seasons of the leaf color are striking: magenta pink and pale pink in spring, changing to pink and cream for the summer, then a bright red/orange for fall color.
An upright dense growth habit make this tree perfect and easy for containers or the small garden.
