I just discovered that Australia has labeled this plant an invasive species. (It is not labeled so in the US, as far as I am aware.) They also state that this plant is poisonous and can cause cardiac problems in people and livestock (presumably pets, too).

I especially recommend caution to people who have cats and dogs that like to mouth or eat plants.

Otherwise, this is a really neat, unique plant that can be shipped bareroot and survive.

Tremendously versatile plant that is ideal for UK growers looking for something exotic looking for the garden. Simply grow a few of the many plantlets and plant out in late spring. It blooms reliably outdoors but sadly it isn't hardy.
    Ideal houseplant too.
