Peony 'Golly' (Krekler, 1965) is a pink, tall (34"), midseason, double, lactiflora cultivar. It's an unusual apple blossom pink double flower with a ring of yellow stamens surrounding a cowlick of pink petals in the center. William Krekler registered more than 400 cultivars from his breeding farm in Ohio, most of which were released in the 1960-70s. Many of his cultivars remain popular today. For example, Klehm's Song Sparrow Farm and Nursery has 24 Krekler cultivars available in 2018 (Note: they did not offer 'Golly').
