One of the true "must have" perennials. Alchemilla mollis is easy to care for, only requiring cutting back of the old flower stems and leaves in early Spring. It will grow pretty much anywhere and will seed around with abandon. The flower heads can be cut off before seeding to prevent unwanted plants as it's quite a prolific self seeder. But it looks great in any situation and looks lovely after rain. The flowers make a lovely filler in vase arrangements.

Medicinal herb - effective for PMS and menopause problems. I have to work to keep this in bounds. It spreads itself quite willingly and the young babies are resistant to being plucked out. I also find that it tends to get sun scorched, so I recommend a partly shaded location. Beautiful plant after a rain, when the drops shine like crystals in the well of the leaves.

For best results (if planting more than one of these plants), space each plant 1 and a half feet apart from each other.
Landscape uses:
Use to edge a perennial border, or as an attractive ground cover. The flowers are excellent fillers in small arrangements and can be dried.
