I purchased this daylily at a big box store, as Dream Souffle, grown by All American Winners. I wanted to use it for hybridizing, but realized after I had it planted that Dream Souffle wasn't a registered daylily. I refused to use it for hybridizing at that point, since I felt that the plant was "stolen" and had a trademark added to the name. I was thrilled when someone was able to put the real name on it for me, because I really love it!

It bloomed very well the first year I had it, and then it took a year off without blooming, but multiplied like crazy. It had fewer blooms the third year than the first year, but the plant was still doing great, and it multiplied more. I've since moved from zone 5a to 7a, and it is much happier here. Last year and this year both, I thought it wasn't going to bloom, but all of a sudden the scapes almost bolted to growing height! It has just started blooming for me, and it is doing great! Now that I know the real name, I look forward to using it for hybridizing with my other doubles.
