I used to have a photo of a Weeping Forsythia that existed in a bed along a red brick building in Hinsdale, Illinois in the 1980's & 1990's. It was about 5 feet high and wider to the sides. I was a groundsman and kept it from spreading too far forward, as its stems and twigs kept hitting the ground in front of it and were rooting. It was in part shade and it never bloomed well. Fortunately, this shrub is very infrequently found, as it is not really pretty and gets messy unless heavily pruned. It is native to China. In June 2021 I went back visiting Hinsdale and discovered that the shrub was still there, but it had been sheared. Most landscape companies do not know how to prune and just quickly give shrubs a quick haircut so they become rounded lumps.
