In the 1980's and 1990's this cultivar of 'Sea Green' was very popular and planted around a lot in the Chicago, Illinois region. It is a spreading shrub like other Pfitzer types that has a fountain-like and mint green foliage color. Its needles are both the soft scale-like and prickly awl-like needles, so it is sort of scratchy to touch. I don't really remember seeing juniper berries on this clone or clones of this cultivar, but some sources speak of there being bluish berries on female plants. Another very similar cultivar that was also sold, but not as much, was 'Mint Julep' introduced from the famous, huge Monrovia Nurseries on the West Coast in 1971. I don't think I can really be sure which is which if I find unlabelled plants.
