This spiny tree is a form of the white-flowered species P. lamerei from near Ihosy, with extra chunky stems and a tendency to branch at the base, and possibly flower (thus branch at the apex) at a small size. It enjoys excellent drainage, lots of sun, and regular water when in leaf. It does great in containers but will only approach its full potential size in the ground. Fragrant flowers.
