This is a selection of Culver's Root that has light bluish-purple flowers on 4' stalks in early summer. The whorled leaves and 15" long flower spikes give it an elegant architectural quality. Grow it in full sun or light shade and average to moist soil towards the back of the perennial border or maybe clumped around a pond. (Sunlight Gardens)
