Silky Dogwood is one of the shrubs I planted in a mixed shrub border running along the south side of my property line. I wanted fruiting shrubs to attract and feed the backyard songbirds. My plants set an unusual number of berries this year. The most I have ever gotten and they are getting ripe now. They turn from green to a lovely shade of deep blue.
