I know it is full summer when this blooms. The hotter and more sunny it is, the better it blooms. It took 4 years to reach blooming size; planted in almost pure sand.

MrsBinWY On June 18, 2022 Transplanted
1 in NW front bed between Laura Zumo's iris and Aurinia saxitilis on 6-18-2022.
MrsBinWY On January 8, 2022 Plant emerged
On 1-8-2022, noticed tiny bit of new growth emerging! Plant grew a few leaves and then senesced in March 2022. Let the soil dry down and put it back in the fridge. Plan to bring it out in May. Haven't decided yet whether to plant it out then or keep it in the pot.
MrsBinWY On February 3, 2021 Seeds germinated
1st radical emerging 2-3-2021; 2nd radical emerging 2-5-2021; 3rd radical emerging 2-7-2021 -- potted each up as the radicals emerged -- The cotyledons of the 1st one were showing on 2-8-2021. The hypocotyl hook of the 2nd one one was showing on 2-9-2021. I had these on the heat mat in the basement, which may have been too warm. On 8-29-2021, put one pot into fridge to see if 30 days or so of cool/cold will stimulate winter and bring the plant out of dormancy. Unfridged 11-29-2021 and put on south-facing windowsill by sowing table.
MrsBinWY On January 31, 2021 Seeds sown
3 seeds from Alplains (purchased for 2017); chipped, soaked overnight & put on moist coffee filter in baggie @ warm room temp
MrsBinWY On May 20, 2018 Transplanted
On 5-20-2018, planted 1 by the garden hoop in the alley.
MrsBinWY On March 30, 2018 Seeds germinated
1; 5 showing on 4-2-18 (still no cotyledons unfurled yet, though)
MrsBinWY On March 18, 2018 Seeds sown
6 seeds from Alplains for 2017, chipped, soaked & sown in deep newspaper pots at room temp
