    Honey bees get nectar from this plant. Honey from this plant granulates quickly, sometimes solidly before the honeycomb cell is sealed.

    Range: Northwestern Oregon to Baja California.
    The genus name comes from Greek words trichos ("hair") and stemon ("stamen"), referring to the long, slender stamens, characteristic of the genus.
