Although all parts of this forb (including its pollen) are toxic to most pollinators and herbivores, there is at least one specialist bee, Andrena astragali, which has co-evolved with T. venenosum and harvests its pollen and nectar. So, despite its toxicity, I'm propagating this beautiful native forb for the diversity it offers.
