I had grown Jet Star before and it had been a fair producer for me. This year I bought one Jet Star plant and it has been a very good producer for us. I have picked a number of nice tennis-ball-sized tomatoes off my one plant. They are nice juicy slicers. We think they taste good. I have been sure to feed my plants every week this year and have also used fish fertilizer on them. I do not know whether that has made the big difference.

Averaged 8oz. Got 26 fruit from one plant in 5gal grow bag. Tasted ok, rather bland.

I was surprised to see this tomato listed as indeterminate. Both years I grew them, the plants stayed small and bush-shaped and the fruits all ripened within a fairly narrow window. The tomatoes were very consistent in size, about the size of a tennis ball, and seemed more watery than most. Not likely to grow these again.

This is my first year trying Jet Star. My plant looks like it is determinate......a compact plant with lots of tomatoes that will be ripening near the same time. The first one was ripe today so I gave it a try. Flavor was mild but pleasing. I will make a judgment as more ripen and then decide about next year. I'm thinking probably next year......

Excellent tomato both in growth habit and fruit production.

Firm, meaty fruit. One of the last of the truly "low acid" tomatoes still available. (Not recommended for canning due to its low-acidity.)

This is the first year I have tried the Jet Star tomatoes. I bought mine as seedlings at a local nursery early this spring. The plants have been growing well but Jet Star is not my favorite tomato for taste. Not at all sure I will be trying them again next season.
