My husband bought me this plant for my birthday three years ago. The tag said hardy to zone 7. (We live in zone 6). Planted in a protected spot close to the house, it has overwintered to return through two winters.

Pink Velour is a beautiful plant, whose bright hot pink color stands out in sun or part shade. Highly recommended, easy-care plant.

I can't say enough good about this plant. It is spectacular here in my area of Middle TN. A reliable performer and easy-care.

Pink Velour Crape Myrtle is a small tree, growing just over 10' tall at maturity. This variety is especially spectacular because of both the bright pink blooms and the wine-burgundy leaves.

I've had Pink Velour Crepe Myrtle for about 5 years now. It has some protection on the west side of it, but the winter of 2013-14 did cause some branches to not fill out. It is a great plant to have for late summer blooms and to add height to your garden.
