Information from "A Guide to Wild Flowers, Ferns and Grasses":
"Stem: erect, usually sparingly branched low down. Leaves: alternate, obovate, finely serrate at the tip; bracts beneath the flower similar to the leaves, but broader and paler green. Inflorescence: umbel, 5-rayed, each ray terminated by a flower and 3 branches each bearing further flowers. Blossoms: yellow-green. Glands: oval. Capsules: smooth. Originated from: Europe, Asia, North Africa; introduced elsewhere."
