I had Fern Stone in my garden for around three years before it did not make it thru it's last winter here in zone 4. Liked it because it bloomed early was taller and the bloom was beautiful, just wished it would have lasted longer in my northern climate.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

An early bloomer that never really established itself well here in southern OH. Scapes tended to be shorter (sign of tenderness). I probably should have given it more time.

It has done well here in my zone 6/7 garden. Lovely flowers that look nice, lots of blooms, but I have yet to see the 5 way branching. My main complaint of the plant is lots of blooms, all compacted close together, and it blooms out fast. Beautiful while in bloom, at least when the blooms have room to open up, but it does not last long. Of course, I only have 4 fans so far, a bigger clump could help with that. It has rebloomed each year do far.
