Hello! 1 of 2 plants I got from Home Depot a month ago... Mistakenly threw away its original packaging. Had it in a temporary container to see if it would do OK and now I don't know what it is, couldn't find it when I dug through their website.

It's a little over an inch in height. It has lots of light green, threadlike threads, very soft and feathery to the touch. It has a pretty firm root area, clinging hard to the dirt around it. I hesitate to identify it by the roots for fear of hurting it. No flowers or buds as far as I can tell. It doesn't have any smell that I can notice.

I'm new to gardening and plants and have tried lots of different descriptors in searches but can't seem to narrow it down...

I'd love to know what you guys think !! Thank you for reading.

It looks like moss. I can tell you were shopping in the ground cover row. Smiling

Looks like it !! The scotch moss I had beforehand was so short and clustered I didn't think this more trailing version could be the same thing ... did some more research and sure enough! Thank you both so much Hurray!
