Some time ago someone was on here talking about using the database info for their own. I was just looking for something else daylily related on Google and came across this and wondered if there was a connection. Regardless, the site has some odd and impossible suggestions on various daylily cultivars for propagation, e.g. corms, leaf cuttings, sow seeds in situ.

The info is not identical though, for example this page, although the picture is the same.

Well I just found my NGA picture of Hemerocallis 'Blackberry Sherbert' on there with some incredible specifications! Triploid, crispate, blooms on old wood, propagate by tip cuttings

Very interesting. Someone recently asked to download our database. When I saw the post I flagged Dave. Joshua was alert and answered. This was on AAQ either yesterday or the day before.

Gee, I learned something new about Hemerocallis today!

It does look like quite a few photos on that site have been taken from here. What raises red flags for me even more is the fact that there is no "About Us" or "Contact" information at all (in fact, the site is quite poorly designed - just a number of pages that you would have to click through to see what plants are there). Will have to see if I can find out who owns the domain and contact them that way.

That and the fact that they stamp their copyright on the bottom of every page on their site, including pages where the image copyright belongs to someone else.

I noticed my Daylily photo with the humming bird, if you enlarge the picture it has my copyright and the All Things Plants name so it must have been taken before we became garden.org.

I also noticed there was no contact information or about us info.

Not necessarily true. The copyright watermarks are added at the time of upload, so all that indicates is that the photo was uploaded when the site was ATP. It's hard to say when it was harvested from the database here (could have been when we were still ATP, or after we became garden.org).

Australis is correct. A lot of my photos were added in 2010 and say Cubits.org instead of ATP or NGA.

I recognized at least 8 (if not more) of my photos. Some of the photos don't have a name listed and I can't be sure if some of those without names are mine or not.

I didn't see that one, the one I was thinking of was probably at least a few months ago. I think, but may be remembering wrong, that his activity was slowing down the NGA site. I can't find the thread now, or else I'm not trying the right keywords.

I definitely remember the one from a few months ago that slowed everything down. That person was downright nasty. And threatening. Hard to know if this is the same person as anyone can set up a new identity and change their ISP, change location and whatever else one has to do.

So anyway, the new request is (so far) not threatening but @Australis probably has more insight than I do. If memory serves, when I saw this new request it was kind of late and no one had seen it yet. I figured Joshua might see it because of his time zone. I would have flagged him but at the top of my head I couldn't remember how to spell his member name. Embarrassing but true.

I don't know if these 'requests' happened much in the past. I do hope this isn't the sign of things to come.

So anyway,, if you were searching for this newest one, I can easily find it. If not, never mind.

Some of the photos, such as the Ditch Lily habitat view are in the public domain. Some of the others, that are also in our database, belong to vendors etc. and are used here with permission. It appears that they are not all 'poached'.

No, it looks like they've grabbed a ton of photos directly from this site. I can't imagine that many people will see them though, as poorly designed as the website is.

How I found the site was I was Googling for a daylily mentioned in a thread in the Daylily Forum and got these results, many from that site:

The owner of this website has gone through extraordinary efforts to hide their identity. I'm trying to find what recourse we have here.
