I used to grow it. It performed well, but I was not a fan of the color. I received it as a bonus plant many moons ago.

I received this plant about 2 years ago, back in early Sept. 2017. I planted it in what I thought would be a great location...and it was for one year. The plant did great and I am one who actually liked the color. It bloomed in 2018 and was looking good.

Then in 2019 all the plants in that bed took a sudden turn for the worst, and starting going downhill fast. I thought maybe it was too much shade, but the shade did not look that dense. I finally discovered that fine Oak tree roots had over powered the plants. I was almost too late to save a few and this was one of them. But, now planted in new locations all the plant have survied so far and are growing again. This is what 'Heat Lightning' looked like before I finally was able to move it.

Now I am waiting to see how it performs next year.
