This was the 2nd year for Barbara Alsop in my garden. Large flower that meets stats for size and height, big vigorous foliage and sturdy scapes. I have not counted buds, I don't think it quite meets 25 per scape, but it does well and bloomed for a long time this summer. It has at least doubled the number of fans since I have had it.

I've had Barbara Alsop blooming in my garden since 2015, so this was my 5th year of blooms. I'm pretty much a fan of this plant. My first two seasons I had it in a pretty ideal location. It showed me a lot of different looks, depending on how much sun it received. It actually did OK, but wasn't the greatest performer, and I didn't like how the sun treated the eye. So I moved it to a space with considerably more shade. Maybe 60% sun. It has been thriving ever since, and the colors are cooler and more consistent. Last year I got 20 blooms per scape on the better scapes, which was 6th best in my garden, and had to be a top 3 for tets.

I think it may be underrated.

Here are some of my pictures:

Here it is from it's hot, sunny location

Here it is in it's shadier location, and what I think is a bluer eye/pattern.

And just for fun, here are a couple Barbara Alsop x Crazy Awesome seedlings. It seems to pass on it's nice peaks on it's sepals, which I kind of like.
