Inquiring minds want to know!

I am pretty much out of seeds as I used up most this season so planning on buying lots of veggie seeds for 2020.

I plan on starting some of my tomatoes from seed and buying others. I plan in starting all of my peppers and eggplants from seed.

Not sure yet, but I'm here.

Deborah, thanks for doing what I was procrastinating about. I went online to the lady I ordered tomato plants from last year and was looking at her pepper inventory, and I found shisitos! Yeah! I will order a plant along with my tomato plants. Wish I had time to grow my plants from seed, but I am too busy growing plants form seed for the plant sale I chair. I usually get my garden in late because of this. Boy, would I be embarrassed for anyone to see the inside of my house from about late January to April. ! Seedlings and cuttings everywhere. I guess another gardener would understand. I think I will try okra again this year, haven't decided on the variety.

This year I might plant seeds that I didn't get to plant last year. Seed box is full.

If you would like a pretty, vigorous . and tasty variety of okra I suggest Candle Fire. Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus 'Candle Fire') For a standard green that is productive and tasty Emerald Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus 'Emerald')

It'll be fun learning what seeds you and plants that you all order.
I know I'm going to get two six packs of strawberries. I don't care for the conical shaped ones. I like the classic heart-shaped strawberries. I'd like to try a Country Taste tomato because the reviews are so good about it having old-time flavor.
Shishitos are definitely on the list!

@farmerdill Does Candle Fire okra turn green when it is cooked? It is pretty.

I do know I won't grow the Royal Burgundy beans again next year. They eat well but the pretty purple beans are hard to find among the pretty purple stems on the pretty purple tinged leaves. At least for my old eyes.

Peppers, trying again 'Buran' bell from seed, with better attention to water and fertilizer early on, and saved jalapeno seed from store bought plant this year
Bush green beans space permitting when I find out how long the winter greens last
Pickler type cucumbers on a new trellis
Corn 'Argent'. If not corn, cantalope- a volunteer grew well this year
Summer squash IF I buy row cover
Asparagus, maybe start a new bed
English peas up the fence
That okra is tempting

But this is before the catalogs come and the websites lure me..

I forgot that I want to order some corn seeds, just don't know which one yet. Any recommendations?
Same with pole beans. I think I'm running out of them.

You're welcome Kristi. How about flamingo beans? Bright pink and easy to see.

Kristi; Never paid a lot of attention, as I use okra in okra fritters, soups, fried and in my version of succotash. I mixed red and green and don't really note any difference in colors in the finished product.

I'm thinking you mentioned the flamingo beans before and I looked at them but don't recall what I thought. I'll have to go look again.

I always start my tomatoes from seed. This summer I had some Sleeping Lady tomatoes that I liked. They produced well. I believe I will try them again. Also was introduced to Black Vernissage tomatoes and loved the taste so have added a black cherry tomato as well. Got my seeds for the tomatoes already.

Sally, some people turn up their nose at Celebrity but I sure don't! It was the first tomato I ever grew and it was a huge success. Non-stop perfect tomatoes that tasted great. And no pests or diseases at all.

Dill, Emerald okra sounds good. I have some Hill Country red seed, so I will grow that, too. All red okra turns green when it is cooked, at least all the varieties I have grown did. I like the Hill country because it makes really fat pods, but they don't get tough and woody. It is a pretty okra that has a reasonable size stalk, about 5 to 6'. Tomato wise, these varieties for sure; purple bumblebee, pork chop, green zebra, carbon, and black cherry. I don't know about the rest, I would like to add a red slicer, can't make up my mind about which one, and maybe a pure orange or yellow? So many to choose from! I do know the peppers; fish, Brazilian starfish, cayenne cowhorn, shishito, and hot Hungarian wax. I haven't grown the hot Hungarian was in several years, but it is a neat hot pepper. The peppers start out green, go to pale yellow, gold, light orange, dark orange then to red. Can be harvested at any stage, and hotness seems to vary from pepper to pepper, regardless of color. Russian roulette of peppers!

My favorite beans are Fortex pole beans. Easy to grow. Lots of beans.

I intend to grow Celebrity tomatoes next season. Never had them before but they are easy to get as starts around here in the Spring.

Also I had a plant of Burpees SuperSteak this season which I really liked. Really large tasty tomatoes. I would like to find a plant or two of SuperSteak next Spring also.

Rita, Celebrity won't knock your socks off but it's a darn good tomato all around. At least for me it was.

I need good steady production on my tomato plants as I need lots of tomatoes for myself to eat and to give away to neighbors and friends.

I will probably pick Better Boy as one of my red slicers. My neighbor gave me some of his last year, pretty good. We had such weird weather that almost everything cracked and/or developed hard, white inedible cores. Not Better Boy and Best Boy. Sometimes you just want a reliable tomato. I am thinking about growing one of the Bushes beefsteaks, too.

Those beefsteaks like Beefmaster and just plain beefsteak are usually pretty darn great.
