'Fitzasaurus' is a semi-evergreen diploid introduced in 2004 by Fitzpatrick.

It has earned the following AHS awards:

The past season was the 2nd bloom season for this daylily. It still was not quite as tall as registered, and only a modest number of blooms, less than 10. I do love the shade of red, it just glows. If it does not improve this year I may move it. The bed it is planted in is in an area where gravel sat waiting to get spread. Some daylilies do well there, but some don't, so its problems may not be due to the plant.
