It is a good grower for me. I grow it because of the unusual coloration. I tend to like things more tailored and uniform, and this is not it. Handles the winters in my Zone 5 garden without any cover with no problems.

Purchased this last year after seeing it in bloom and It's a beauty. Kind of a sad first year bloom in my zone 5b garden. Scapes were not strong enough to hold the flower up. I did move it and am hoping for better performance next year because I love the color. It is also a nice large bloom.

I've had Jim's Pick since 2017. It has been a reliable bloomer for me. Nice tall scapes that are sturdy in my garden. However, the flowers are much smaller than registered (a little over 4" instead of 6"). I like the look of the flower but it is not as impressive as it would be if the flowers were larger.
