Hello there fragrant flower gurus!

I just saw Harlequin Glorybower at my local (normally quite reputable) garden center. I was surprised because I am in zone 5 (southern NH) and while I have always been temped by the description of Glorybower in Fine Gardening, etc. I was under the impression that it was AT BEST hardy only to zn 6.

I'm wondering if there are gardeners who have successfully grown it in zone 5, and if so, did they have to provide it with any special attention in order to do so?

Thanks so much for your feedback!

I agree

Strictly a houseplant for you. Even around here it's hit-and-miss hardy, sometimes it lives and sometimes it poops out after a couple of years. Which just chaps my hide cause it's so pretty when it's happy. Sighing!

Awww dang. That kind of ticks me off because the nursery I saw it at is usually pretty reliable, and they showed it listed as zone 5-10... Which I knew did not sound right.

Thanks so much for confirming before I bought something that wouldn't come back next year D'Oh!
