It's time to divide a very interesting and underused plant.
Description: (=Actaea matsumurae) A spectacular 48-54" plant for the back of a shady border, sometimes flowering into November. Tall wands of fragrant, creamy white bottlebrush flowers are held high above light green, lacy foliage. Splendid for cutting! Bugbanes prefer a moist, rich soil, away from hungry tree roots. Will tolerate full sun in cool summer regions, otherwise be sure to protect from hot afternoon sun. Also performs well in tubs or mixed containers. Plants take about three years to develop into a mature sized clump. May be divided in spring, but plants take a year or two to establish again. My plant made a large colony in 4 to 5 years. Zone 3-9
I will send 2 to 3 tubers with 2 to 3 eye each for $8, shipping is $10, Paypal is preferred payment. Foliage is getting ready to die back and most likely will be trimmed.
