I have had trouble getting this cultivar established. Could be my soil could be the plant itself. Purchased within state and USDA zone. Currently planted in reconditioned soil and is growing well but have yet to see it bloom. Sighing!

I had Tande for three years, and it struggled to grow here in Ohio. It was fertile though and I had several pods on it.
The flowers are indeed splotched, and would be an alternative to Pink Stripes if it had a better plant. I actually liked the
flower form better, but the lack of vigor doomed it for me. I will say that mine did increase fairly well, but the scapes
were never more than 15 inches, and even on a good day no more than 8 buds. My garden is actually just a field, and
I think Tande is more of a pot plant that has special needs to get it to perform well, which it didn't get here. To date, I
haven't bloomed any seedlings from it that I am aware of, at least none that have the broken pattern. For hybridizing
purposes, it seems to be hardy enough for northern programs, even though the plant is not very robust.

I agree with Deryll. My plant also increases very well but for some reason not all fans produce scapes. The scapes are short and flowers few. If not for the striping, the flower is not a remarkable.
