Hot Town is a great plant. I bought it from the Seawrights who took over the farm from Don Stevens. It's been in my garden about 25 years, blooms reliably in late July and is just super bright looking in person. Sort of glows. The plant habit is good, it's a very sturdy Daylily. Not a crazy increaser but I wasn't paying much attention to the plants on the Hill until this year. Maybe now that it's getting fed and watered, more growth will be taking place.

Just a note to say that it's a little hard to tell Hot Town from it's parent Holiday Delight, which I also have. Hot Town has a much smaller yellow throat, that seems to be the main difference.

2022, another good year for Hot Town…my Stevens plants never disappoint, this is the climate they were bred for. It's why I'm starting to collect Doorakian plants too.

2023, great year for Hot Town. It bloomed from July 13 to August 4 in multiple locations.
