Hello All! I have been absent for a long time and since I've recently been laid off from my job I now have time on my hands to get back in the gardening forums Rolling my eyes.

I'm trying to find a legible copy of the Wedding Bells ad for seeds offered in 1962 by Darold Decker. It was provided to me by someone many years ago and my copy is no longer legible. I can find this person by doing a websearch, and he mentions a pdf of the ad I believe, but I don't think the link to the pdf is trustworthy, it is asking me to add a Chrome extension.

Does anyone by chance have a copy of the ad? Below is what I found online that shows some of his photos but bounces me right to the chrome extension thing. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I can't help you. Are you Facebook friends with Ron Kushner? He might have it. Why do you want it?

J Hudson lists them for $2. for a seed pkt.
I do see mention of Mr. Decker, being associated with Ipomoea tricolor 'Wedding Bells', dating back to 1962.
Why not just grow several seeds ?
You can often learn some things about a plant, by growing it, that you wouldn't find out by otherwise only having read about it.

(I get some odd, "you've won" & confetti, just trying to read it.)

I seem to recall, that there was somebody trying to locate a piece of morning glory vine with somewhat similar description of flower color, & that they'd lost it, after having it, for many years.

I think they'd mentioned it supposedly grew "wild" near the Coast, & that they'd got it from their mother. It may have behaved rather like a tender perennial.
They'd wanted just a small piece of the root (?)
I've no idea, if they were one, & the same. Unless, it was just by an odd coincidence.

I became curious, & tried to find one in a California State Wildflower Database. No luck.

Now all I could find was one from Tijuana, MX. & that "nickname" translated into "broken plate". As after the bloom was crushed in the hand, that's how it appeared.

Ronnie...yes it is! Did you have this all along, or were you somehow able to bring it up on the web?

Hope you're doing well....and still growing a lot of morning glories!

Thank you for everyone else's response also....I have actually been growing these for almost a decade but wanted a copy of the historical ad.

BTW....how do you get a prior post embedded in your own new post?

Sandi, I got it from the web link. I use chrome so it opened with no problem.

I am still growing morning glories as much as I can and still love to trade seeds.

How is the snow pack in Franklin? In Wilmington we have only had one significant snowfall.

Hello Joseph....we didn't have much snow, up until the beginning of January, then got about 5 or 6 inches which has hung around, but been slowly melting due to warmer temps. I think we got to almost 40 on Saturday. Here's a pic showing what's left. It's a chapel at a healing garden about a mile from my house. I like winter better when there's even just a little snow on the ground Rolling my eyes.

I grew up in Superior so I remember cold, ice and snow. I miss skinny skiing and ice fishing. Thanks for the status report. I hope winter remains kind to you.
