Does anyone have some suggestions for daylilies with miniature flowers for zone 5? Dormant or semi-evergreen? I only have one daylily with what I would call miniature flowers, I'm looking to add a couple to my gardens. Would prefer mid to tall plants, nothing too low to the ground. Thank you for your input!
Northern Lights Daylilies has a category labeled hardy zone 4. There are a some Nordstrom mini's and smalls listed. I have personal experience with a few, and they are quick to increase here and bloom their little heads off. I've purchased from them for the last three years, always satisfied.
You can always go to the AHS Data Base and do an advanced search and put in all the information you want. Most miniatures will be short because a lot of people want them to fit in small areas between other plants in the front of a bed. I've been working on getting taller miniatures but most of my efforts have produced small flowers 3 1/2 to 4 1/4 inches tall. I lined out 3 for possible introduction that are 34-36 inches tall. The first two pictured are lined out and the other two might be lined out this Fall.
