Thread OP
Alicante, Spain
I've had this aspidistra since last August. I repotted it shortly after that because the nursery pot was obviously too small for it and the plant was doing fine, it gave one new leaf since then and three months ago several flowers, mostly buds, emerged.
I'm based in southern Spain, which means that there is no heating, the room can get really cool at night in the winter (more or less 12degrees Celsius), but this room never gets direct sunlight—we are on the first floor and there are buildings all around that block a big deal of sunlight. There are a few holes at the bottom of the pot and I water it maybe once a month or two.
That yellowing started probably two weeks ago with the main vein becoming yellow and as of now, the leaf is almost entirely bright yellow. Can that be because of a lack of water or nutrients, cool temperatures or too low light? I've read so much already about cast iron plants but that's not helping me at all.

Would appreciate your thoughts on that.

It's natural for some of the older leaves to die off. As long as it's growing it should be ok. Conditions that you have provided sound right
