I am looking for a vase shaped hosta with clear white stripes in it. I will be surrounding it with Caladium Moonlight, which appears to be a very clear white. I'm looking for something like hosta Regal Splendor, but with more white.

Thanks!

How about Liberty? Beautiful upright with a wide creamy border.

How about Loyalist, love this hosta. Also Fire and Ice, or maybe Dream Queen?

Not sure how big you want to go, but here is another suggestion. Clifford Forest Fire, but it does get big.

Big! Thanks Rose. Is the white in it a bright as opposed to creamy white?

I'm liking a lot of these suggestions.

Actually the first thing I thought of was Cascades but I did not think it was considered a vase shaped hosta. But it is so close to being striped that I had to mention it. Green Grin!

Polly, that sounds like a great plan. Was you wanting the white to be in the center? I don't have many vase type hosta. I am waiting to see more suggestions Smiling

Doesn't matter, I don't think. Do you think it would look good with the white on the sides, Theresa? I don't grow too many vase shape hostas either, but I think one would be so pretty with this caladium around it. It will be in a strip that is semishaded and will be seen from both sides.

I appreciate everyones help.

Well, I think I am starting to get the picture and I do have a beautiful upright Hosta with a white edge that would be stunning, 'Tom Schmid'.. a good grower. Emerges as a gray green, then turns more green.

Beautiful Minuteman, Paul!

At this point I'm almost thinking Tom Schmid. It' a relative of Krossa Regal and Regal Splendor, both of which I love the shape of, and looks to be quite white.

Thank you for all the suggestions, my wonderful ATP friends.

Polly....consider Regal Supreme....I just got it last year and don't have a picture. It is said to be an improvement on Regal Splendor. Here is one of my RS.

Polly, were you searching for blue (with white) varieties too?

I think I may try each of these this year; Barbara Ann, Ann Kulpa and Andrew.

Thanks for the lead, Paul! Thumbs up
