I bought Paco Bell in 2017 from Oakes. It flowered its first year and looked great right from the first bloom

This is its FFE, looking perfect. Paco Bell is very Hardy and floriferous here ( 6a),
Throwing out weeks of bright yellow and brilliant red flat bagel shaped blooms, it has a cute red ruffled picotee that matches the eye. The red is a true Primary red, no hints of blue or purple, sort of unusual. The foliage stays pretty healthy for me too. It was so successful that last Fall I had to dig up and replant part of it because it was now blocking my stone walkway. I hope I didn't bum it out but it looks fine this Spring. Lots of fans, will probably pop out even more flowers. This is the only Salter that I've had for long enough to be impressed by...

I really like this cheerful, no nonsense performer. If you like yellow and red for weeks on end, you'll like Paco Bell ( and I love the name!)

The colors on Paco Bell are very intense. The chief drawback is height; it blooms around foliage level.

Just an update. Paco Bell did NOT like being moved. I didn't see much of this cv this summer. It only sent up 15 flowers, a far cry from last year. Blooming from July 8th to July 29th, it started later, ended earlier and bloomed less. I can only hope that it's happier next year, after rebuilding root systems.

2022 update…Paco Bell was much happier in 2022, beginning bloom on June 29 - July 18 with at least 25 blooms ( I missed a few in early July when I was traveling). That's at least 10 more than last year.

2023 update…very similar to last year, PB bloomed from July 1- 21, with at least 26 blooms. At this point it's a clump, so I don't know how many fans it has.
