I received this daylily from Ginny as a bonus plant in 2016 and it does not disappoint! I even had a cousin drop by last year to pick out some daylilies for her garden and as soon as she say Kathy Perkins, she wanted it:) Oh how I hated to try to dig out a double fan around it, but the clump has recovered very well and has even grown more.
I just checked and it is 12 fans strong now with a couple fans growing away from the clump. No scapes right now, but I expect to see them any day. With the crazy weather this year, who knows.
As an aside, I am growing four of Ginny Pearce's intros and every single one of them performs beautifully in my garden!
'Kathy Perkins' scapes are nice and sturdy and are bud-builders. It is registered at 32" tall and I believe it is right at that height for me. It starts blooming at the end of June and goes until mid-late July, a solid 5 weeks of blooms in my zone 6b garden. I don't think I have ever had rebloom on it, but maybe that will change now that I have been using fertilizer in my garden.
This picture was taken July 14, 2019 and shows the scapes. Most are 3-way, but I believe the one on the right in front is 5-way and I am sure I get around 20-22 buds. Take a look at Ginny's pictures of scapes on her website:

I took this picture around 6am one morning just because I had to go to work. I I call it my "artistic pic". It gets shaded by the house in the morning, so it is not an early morning opener (EMO) for me. But I just love this picture!
A few days later around 9am. A classic beauty
It makes a beautiful bouquet and this picture is in the early evening on 6/29/20, two days after I gave my cousin a piece of it. This is why she wanted it! I still can't believe I let her have some of it at peak bloom. And it is right next to where people park in the driveway... maybe I should put it in the back garden, lol
