Frank… Hilarious!

I planted Sound Bite this April. It bloomed in mid June, all at once. I never got to see it live as I was in California but my neighbor took photos for me while I was gone. I think it only had 7 or 8 blooms this year but as a first year plant, I'm just happy it bloomed at all

Hilarious! Frank! You're so funny!

I got Sound Bite in 2016 during a club function and I have to admit, it is one of those daylilies that just doesn't garner attention. I did a fan count spreadsheet this past spring and recorded that Sound Bite still only had 2 fans.

Maybe the coloring looks better in other gardens, but it looks like a muddy rose pink in mine. It does have some decent teeth. The fact that I haven't taken many pictures of it is why I believe this one will not be in my garden much longer.

2022…a great year for Sound Bite. Blooming from July 8-28, I counted 46 blooms on 5 fans. That's a solid Midseason presence! I'll admit that it's not the prettiest Daylily in the garden, but it's not bad either. And if it's willing to bloom like that in the less than ideal location I have it in, it is welcome to stay.

2023 update…Sound Bite bloomed from July 9-20 with only 20 blooms. That's less than half of what I had last year. It also didn't grow, it is the same five fans as last year.
