Suggestions
1. Measure the height to the top of the bloom, so that you know then which class of bearded iris it is: see
https://www.irises.org/gardene... . Keep in mnd, though that many people are reporting shorter than usual stem height this year.
2. Cameras and lighting are tricky. Is the color of your iris tan, orange or peach?
3. Go to the NGA iris database at
https://garden.org/plants/grou... . Put a checkmark in the appropriate class according to its height. And type the color into the bloom color box, or check the color class box (you can try it both ways). I would enter orange or tangerine for the beard color. Check either "self, or "bitone." (You can try various combnation of these things for each search.) Then click "Submit". You are likely to come up with pages and pages of results. Look for it. Judging from its form, it's likely it was introduced before 1980. If it is an unnamed seedling, you will never find it. I hope you do. Good luck! And welcome to the iris forum!
