Vigorous Moldovan plant. To me, the eye contrast makes it more interesting than parent South Seas, but each has its appeal. For some reason, I don't recall it as quite 6 inches, but it is not in the best location in the garden.
Awesome cultivar. I've been growing this one for about 20 years now and it's still a great mid to late season bloomer here and tons of buds.
This is an evening pic;
This one is pretty and sounds like one I could grow. I have South Seas and one of its children, Take Me Along, and both have been outstanding in my garden.
I haven't had Drums Along the Mohawk for very long. I have it planted in a large pot with another daylily. It does not like this situation! It didn't even bloom this year!
I need to move it next year. I hadn't realized it was a kid of South Seas. I had SS and it died on me in a pot. Take Me Along is doing well in a grow bag so I'll move DATM to one too.
I'm hoping once it is moved it will do better and live up to my expectations.
