I love this daylily, despite the flaws. An evergreen, this is what it looks like at the moment in Tennessee. The sevs and dormants are gorgeous and neat, but ES is having a very bad hair day. She'll get over it when things warm up.
She started blooming at the beginning of June, which is early here.
Scapes are not as tall as the registered 24" I measure only about 18." Her flowers start to open the day before, so one must take care not to prematurely deadhead. It always amazes me that a half-open bud can transform into a flat and ruffled, substantial masterpiece- even when it rains midway!
Pod and pollen fertile but not easy here. I think rebloom is pretty instant, so that lands in the middle of summer. I wouldn't set a pod in July either! Neatly formed round flowers with a beautiful light-greenish aspect to the yellow. You would assume it was a tet if you didn't know better.
