I have had this lovely green-throated historical daylily almost as long as I have been growing daylilies so it is another survivor for me
below is from 2002

Obtained from a Gulf Coast Daylily Society plant sale. Moved from the Gulf Coast with me after Hurricane Rita. Color is more intense in sunlight. Scapes have varied from 16-25" in the time I have kept records. Flower size has also varied from 3.25" up to 4". All seemingly depending on how much rainfall the plant gets before scaping. This cultivar is partial shade tolerant and will still bloom.
Focus is on the anthers in the photo below.

Nacogdoches Pansy has been in Victoria Educational Gardens for many years. It is reliable with moderate increase. Its foliage is strappy. Although not as flashy as others in the garden, it was looking particularly pretty yesterday when this picture was taken.

I've commented before on this plant, but want to say again, that this is a great daylily, especially for mid-south to south gardeners. I've grown this plant for close to 30 years in four different gardens and have never been disappointed in it. It has a special place in my heart, as I was personally acquainted with Jean Barnhart, who introduced this daylily in 1986.
