It does OK here, right on the edge of zones 6/7. But I recommend it when selling it to people in zones 7 and higher. This year, it passed a test here. We got really cold December weather ( down to 5 degrees for many hours) which doesn't happen but maybe once every 7-8 years. I had just divided it last fall. Several of the more tender minis croaked, but this one emerged unscathed. It's really cute and reblooms here. I don't see the blue that some pictures show, rather a lot of green and a triangular mascara edged eye/throat.
It survived this past winter when we got down to -24 degrees with minimal snow cover. It's definitely not thriving. Our late freezes are not its friend. Added 4/21 and still hasn't bloomed. It would probably be merciful to send LLM to a warmer home!
